2. Staff-to-Resident Ratio: Inquire about the ratio of caregivers to residents during the day and overnight. A lower ratio, such as one caregiver for every five or six residents, often means more personalized attention. Also, ask about staff turnover rates, as consistency is key.

3. Safety and Physical Environment: Look for a secure design that prevents wandering, such as locked exits and enclosed outdoor courtyards. Is the layout easy to navigate, with clear signage and minimal clutter to reduce confusion and fall risks?
